Legal Writing CATS/ECTS Course

Legal Writing CATS/ECTS Course

Overview

Make your writing stand out from the crowd! Improve your legal writing if you want to improve your career prospects – The two topics are linked and one depends upon the other.

All lawyers need to be able to write clearly, correctly, and concisely, in every e-mail, report, and document that they produce. By doing so they demonstrate that they are professional, clearheaded, knowledgeable and accurate lawyers. This is an essential requirement to progress your legal career and to perform international legal work.

The British Legal Centre’s Legal Writing CATS/ECTS* Course is offered in partnership with Apsley Business School in London, and accredited for 30 CATS/15 ECTS under the Erasmus Scheme for all UK, US, and European Universities. (Apsley Business School is in the list of the World’s top 100 Universities).
* CATS = Credit Accumulation and Transfer Scheme; ECTS = European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System.

The course is delivered in a set of 60 recorded videos followed by inter-active exercises after every lesson, plus further exercises in a workbook and 2 legal glossaries. The course teaches the essential skills of writing clear, concise and precise letters, documents and contracts in an easy-to-follow style, helping you become a confident, competent communicator of legal ideas and arguments.

This recorded video-lesson course is for busy lawyers with changing work patterns who find it easier to choose their own times and days to study rather than commit to set days and times for lengthy lessons.
